OXFORD – Jack J. Roso, 77, of Charlton Street, died peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan May (Holmes) Roso of Oxford; four children, Wendi R. Bernal and her husband Edgardo of Oxford, Jenni J. Huyghue and her husband Winthrop of Orange, Shanon M. Sweeney and her husband Michael of Oxford, and Seth M. Roso and his wife Sara of Holcomb, MO; three brothers, Thomas Roso of Southbridge, William Roso of Southbridge, and Robert “Rick” Roso of Charlton; nine grandchildren, Brittani, Jacklyn, Marquis, Nathaniel, Anne, Gabriel, Samuel, Ethan, and Seamus; and many great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Roso, and a sister, Nancy Rodriguez.
He was born in Southbridge, son of the late Francis and Nellie (Kulzyck) Roso, and lived in Athol and Southbridge before moving to Oxford 29 years ago.
Mr. Roso spent most of his life working in sales, where his natural ability to connect with people truly shined. Later in life, he continued his passion for caring for others through massage and reflexology. For 65 years, he faithfully served as a minister at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Webster and in many other congregations. He was often the first to arrive, greeting everyone at the door with a warm smile and a heartfelt hug.
He had a passion for cars and loved dining out, but what his children will cherish most are the memories of him taking them to breakfast before school each day. His wife, Susan, will hold close the memories of their long car rides, their special “talk” time, and even their daily ritual of checking the mail together—little routines that became a lifetime of love.
Jack had a deep love for people and will be remembered as a kind, generous, and welcoming man whose presence brought comfort and joy to so many. He will be deeply missed, but the love he shared so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the Jewish Healthcare Center and Jewish Hospice, for their compassionate care during his illness.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 52 Old Webster Road, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jehovah’s Witnesses at JW.org.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
