FISKDALE/WORCESTER - Jacqueline T. (Parse) Ciance, 81, of Crescent Way, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 27, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by three children, Susan M. Neaz and her husband Joseph of Shrewsbury, Paul A. Ciance Jr. and his wife Karin of Holden, and Diane T. Barry and her husband Kevin of Franklin; her brother, Barry F. Parse and his wife Joyce of Michigan and Florida; her sister, June M. Mikkila and her husband Donald of South Dennis; five grandchildren, Derek M. Neaz-Nibur and his wife Heather, Kristen M. Neaz, Michael P. Barry, Karoline K. Ciance, and Lynnaea T. Barry; and nephews and nieces. She was born in Bound Brook, NJ, the daughter of the late John Howard and Jesse (Demandal) Parse, and lived in Worcester before moving to Sturbridge in 2008. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in Worcester and received her associate's degree from Salter Secretarial School. Mrs. Ciance was a pharmacy technician at the Fallon Clinic for 15 years, retiring in 2006 at the age of 72. Previously, she worked at Worcester City Hospital for 15 years and Worcester City Manager's Office for 5 years. She was a member of St. Anne's & St. Patrick's Parish in Fiskdale. Mrs. Ciance was very active in her condominium community, and especially enjoyed attending water aerobics classes 3 days each week. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, going to the beach in York, ME, and taking trips with her friends from the community. She will be remembered as a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved her family above all else. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015, at St. Anne and St. Patrick Parish, 16 Church St., Fiskdale. Entombment will be private at a later date at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Memorial calling hours are Thursday, April 30, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jacqueline Ciance to Overlook Masonic Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Charlton, MA 01507.
