Janet J. Zereski

CHARLTON- Janet J. (Cummings) Zereski, 79, of H. Putnam Road, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 57 years, S. Michael Zereski of Charlton; three daughters, Karyn Zereski, Christine Drisco and her husband, Jason, of Charlton, and Crystal Zereski of Dudley; three grandchildren, Jessica, Ayla, and Kaylin; one great-granddaughter, Emma; her grand-dog, Presley; many nieces and nephews, good neighbors, and dear friends; and her sister, Delcay Mattson and her husband, Alan, of Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by her sisters, Maryann Clapham and Janey Santon.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph and Jane (Stuczko) Cummings, and moved to Charlton in 1980. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School in Shrewsbury.

Mrs. Zereski was a receptionist at Acura of Auburn, and worked at Park and Shop in Auburn. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Charlton. She enjoyed spending time at the Charton Senior Center with her husband. She enjoyed reading books, visiting craft fairs and her cat Bella.

Janet will be remembered for her strong love of family and her unforgettable hugs. She was the center of her family and took pride in caring for those she loved. She was a hardworking woman, she never asked for much and found her greatest happiness in the company of her family.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 5-7 p.m., at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
