OXFORD – Jayme A. Bellofatto Sr., 53, of Burbank Street, died Monday, October 6, 2025, in his home, after a long battle with brain cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jane A. (Cencak) Bellofatto of Oxford; five children, Jayme A. Bellofatto Jr. and his partner Anastasia of Statesville, NC, Danielle E. Barber of Oxford, Matthew J. Barber and his wife Marissa of Ashburnham, Brian A. Barber and his fiancée Kristen of Leicester, and Ricky L. Barber and his wife Anne Early of North Brookfield; two sisters, Cheryle Insley and her husband Dave of Townsend, and Michelle Poulin and her husband Dave of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Mariah Cooper, Makayla Cooper, Loudan Barber, Charlotte Barber, Maeve Early, Fiona Early, Ayden Barber and Melina Bellofatto; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Pamela Leslie; and a brother, Lenny Dolbec.
He was born in Framingham, son of the late Edwin and M. Dianne (Kokernak) Bellofatto, was raised in Natick and lived in Whitinsville and Mendon before moving to Oxford in 1994. He graduated from Natick High School in Natick.
Jayme was a heavy equipment operator for R.H. White in Auburn for many years, and more recently he worked for Sterling Concrete. Previously, he worked for L&H Sewerage, Davey Tree, Dillon Tree, and Bangma’s Farm. Jayme was a firefighter for the Oxford Fire Department for 10 years, retiring as lieutenant. He received awards and commendations for this time on the department and the RIT team, and worked on many training exercises with the department.
Jayme loved riding his motorcycle, shooting pool, being outdoors, and hanging out with his family and friends. He was known as “Papa” to his grandchildren, and was also a papa to Maverick, Cheyanne, and Jolene Sowieja, as well as Jackson Furnari.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cachia from UMass Oncology, Central Care Hospice, and Open Sky AFC Services, for their exceptional care during his illness.
A homecoming will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Calvary Worship Center, 256 Parker Ave., Holden. A calling hour will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be private at a later date.
