OXFORD – Jean S. Buell, 78, of Wheelock Street, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce L. Buell of Charlton, five cousins, Anne Harrington and Karen Farris, both of Maine, Bill Young and Martha Simerl, both of Tennessee, and John Buell of Worcester; and many dear friends at Oak Hill Bible Church.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late James and Arlene (Paddock) Buell, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford.
She graduated from Worcester State University and received her master’s degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.
Ms. Buell was a 2nd grade teacher and reading specialist for Oxford Public Schools for 31 years.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove Street, Worcester.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Oak Hill Bible Church, 40 Sacarrappa Road, Oxford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Hill Bible Church, Scholarship Fund, 40 Sacarrappa Rd., Oxford, MA 01540.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
