OXFORD – Jean G. (LaPan) Willey, 91, of Forest Street, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.  She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde R. Willey who died in 2014.  She is survived by three children, Brenda J. Hansen of Oxford, Wendy M. Gomes and her husband Alan of North Grosvenordale, CT, and Christopher R. Willey of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Michelle and her husband Tony, Lisa and her husband David, Jackie and her husband Brian, Carrie and her husband Scott, Alan Jr. and his wife Amanda, Matthew, and Angela; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, Stacey, Abigail, Ryleigh, Brianna and Shawn and his fiancée Kaitlin; two great-great grandchildren, Eli and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Bruce Hansen.  She was born in Marlborough, daughter of the late Harold W. and May (Place) LaPan, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford.  She graduated from Oxford High School in 1950.

Mrs. Willey worked at the Fashion Bug in Webster for many years prior to retirement.  Previously, she worked for the VNA of Southern Worcester County in Webster for many years.  She loved spending time with her family, her cat, Callie, shopping, bingo, and playing cards. She played in many pitch leagues.  She was very sociable and genuinely loved to be around people.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at North Cemetery, Main St., Oxford.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
