Jeremiah Coffey, Sr.

July 1, 1943 — September 16, 2018

OXFORD – Jeremiah J. Coffey, Sr., 75, of Holly Street, died Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Westborough Healthcare Center in Westborough, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan D. (Lever) Coffey of Oxford; five children, Catherine Dubuque and her husband Michael of Charlton, David Coffey and his wife Amy of Oxford, Michael Coffey and his wife Melissa of Worcester, Jeremiah Coffey Jr. and his wife Yolanda of Worcester, and Joseph Coffey and his wife Alina of Dudley; his sister, Maureen Felicetti of Oxford; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph J. and Helen G. (Wells) Coffey, and lived most of his life in Oxford. He attended Auburn High School.

Mr. Coffey was a truck driver for several area trucking companies throughout his life. He was a longtime member of the Teamsters Local 170. Mr. Coffey was a former member of the Auburn Elks and he enjoyed camping and driving. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his pets.

Calling hours are Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
