Joan's greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, not only to those in her family but many others as well. She was known as Grandma Joan at Greenville Baptist Church where she was a member and served faithfully in the nursery, Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School as well as attending a Tuesday morning Bible Study. Joan loved to read, and as her vision decreased she listened to many Talking Books. She was always fashionable, and enjoyed shopping and yard saling. There was always coffee in the pot to share with those she loved, especially her other daughter Robbin Seymour. The family extends their thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the care, and especially companionship given to Joan during her time at the Overlook.
