Jody Sheridan

May 23, 1917 — September 25, 2017

NORTH OXFORD – Jody M. (Jones) Sheridan, 100, of Daniel Drive, died Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John F. Sheridan of North Oxford who died in 1997. She is survived by two children, John F. Sheridan III and his wife Linda of North Grafton, and Jody Marie Williams and her husband Harry of North Oxford; three grandchildren, John F. Sheridan IV and his wife Katherine, Patrick Sheridan and his wife Rebeccah, and Michelle Sheridan and her companion Matthew Bedrosian, all of Whitinsville; a great-granddaughter, Elliette Sheridan; and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Rison, AR, daughter of the late Robert E. and Tabitha (Shelton) Jones, and lived her life throughout the United States and Germany before moving to North Oxford several years ago. She graduated from Rison High School and received her associate’s degree from Draughon School of Business in Arkansas.

Mrs. Sheridan was secretary to a U.S. Airforce Captain in Stuttgart, AR, for 5 years. Previously, she was a secretary for the Welfare Department in Arkansas for 7 years. Mrs. Sheridan was president of the Garden Club and president of the P.T.A. in Arkansas. She was an avid crafter and volunteered many hours gardening. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford.

The family wishes to thank the Overlook and Hospice staff for their kind and compassionate care.

A funeral will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
