Jody Wheeler

WORCESTER – Jody L. Wheeler, 43, died suddenly on Monday, November 1, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.  She is survived by five children, Eve M. Towne of Bernardston, Johnathan A. Towne Jr. of Greenfield, Hannah E. Towne of Greenfield, Benjamin R. Towne of Greenfield, and Isabella J. Towne of Greenfield; her mother, Marcia A. (Burzenski) Wheeler of Oxford; her father, Gary A. Wheeler Sr. of Rochdale; her brother, Gary A. Wheeler Jr. of Uxbridge; two sisters, Kelly M. Wheeler of Rochdale and Tracy A. Cournoyer and her husband Daniel of Brimfield; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was predeceased by a son, Zachary Towne of Brimfield who died in 2010.

Jody worked as a bartender at various restaurants, and worked had as a waitress throughout her life.  In addition, she held many positions in customer service and sales.  She enjoyed flying kites and spending time at the beach.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend who loved life.  She was always smiling and had a positive attitude.  She was smart, caring, and a friend to all.

Jody will be forever sadly missed and always loved.  We don’t say goodbye.... but until we meet again.  We’ll always remember you.  You had a strong impact on the world and everyone’s life around you.  You were a very special daughter, mother, sister, and friend.  Thank you for being you.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  Remembrances by family and friends will be held on Thursday at 8 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jody Memorial Fund, c/o TD Bank, 324 Main St., Greenfield MA 01301.
