John "Jack" Trask

WORCESTER – John “Jack” D. Trask, 77, died Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Notre Dame du Lac in Worcester.  He is survived by his wife, lover, and best friend of 25 years, Elaine L. (Anyon) Trask of Worcester; two children, Jessica Haider and her husband Muhammed Ali Haider of Weymouth; and John Trask of Paxton; four stepchildren, Jennifer Reed and her husband Scott of Northbridge, Kathleen Judge and her husband Matt of Centerville, Ronald Stokowski and his significant other Cheryl Miller of Webster, and Brian Stokowski of Uxbridge; two sisters, Jennifer Foley of Florida, and Judi Trask of Georgia; a stepbrother, Russel Joudrey of Connecticut; a stepsister, Janice Goyette of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Bilal, Zayn, Jocelyn, Hailey, Jacob, Danielle, Aaron, Ashely, Taylor, and Jordan; 4 great-grandchildren, Analise, Hunter, Gabriel, and Lochlan; and several nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by a brother, James R. Trask; a sister, June E. Johnson; and a granddaughter, Amanda.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Francis J. and Edna L. (Cary) Trask, and lived most of his life in Worcester.  He graduated from Classical High School in Worcester in 1962, and received his bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University in 1972.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Trask was a C.P.A. and operated John D. Trask, CPA, for 48 years, retiring in 2019.  He enjoyed traveling to all of the islands, Mexico, Alaska, and especially Maui.  His grandchildren meant everything to him and he will be remembered as a fantastic, supportive “Papa” by his grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to Notre Dame du Lac, c/o the Activities Dept., 555 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home is directing the arrangements.
