John "Jake" Strzelewicz

OXFORD – John “Jake” B. Strzelewicz, 64, died Monday, August 15, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryl A. (Gervais) Strzelewicz of Oxford; two sisters-in-law, Christine Collotta and her husband Alfred of Shrewsbury, and Charlene Bell and her husband Mark of Redmond, WA; his longtime friend, David Latino of Oxford; and his dog and trusted companion, Sherman.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Bernard and Rita (Nowicki) Strzelewicz, and lived in Auburn before moving to Oxford in 1996.

Mr. Strzelewicz graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Worcester in 1975, and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.  He co-owned and operated Central Mass Concrete Pumping in Auburn for 30 years, retiring in 2013.  He was a member of Singletary Rod and Gun Club in Oxford.

Services will be private.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
