OXFORD- Joseph E. Dupre, 90, of Main Street, died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, with his family by his side.
He is survived by his son, Mark E. Dupre of New York; his daughter, Kimberley K. Dupre of Webster; his sister, Elizabeth Whittemore of Vermont; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Jennifer, Erin, Beth, Randy, Mark, and Brian; eight great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lilly, Meridith, Aiden, Chelsea, Kaelin, Laine, and Emilee; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two children, Kathy Dupre who died in 2023, and Kevin Dupre, who died in 2024; two brothers, Donald Dupre, and Robert Dupre; and four sisters, Janet Dupre, Barbara Dupre, Jane Quilliam, and Rose Raymond.
He was born in St. Albans, Vermont, son of the late Joseph and Alma (Elwood) Dupre, and has lived in North Oxford since 1969.
Mr. Dupre was a truck driver for many years at R&M Leasing, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed farming throughout his life, as well as going to dances, antiquing, and visiting flea markets. Above all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Salmon Hospice for the exceptional care given to Joseph during his illness.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
