WEBSTER – Joseph R. Henault, 87, of Worcester Road, died peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard Hospital in Webster. He is survived by two daughters, Karen L. Bergstrom and her husband John of Leicester, and Heather E. Sandman and her husband David of Putnam, CT; six grandchildren, Maryellen, Jordan, Patrick, Zachary, Alexis, and Julianna; his niece, Christine Boiselle and her husband Allen of Dayville, CT; and several stepchildren that he raised, including Ross Thayer and James Thayer. He was predeceased by his wife, Norma Henault; his son, Jon J. Henault; his first former wife, Judith K. Henault; and his second former wife, Elizabeth Faneuf. He was born in Tewksbury and was a lifelong resident of Webster. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Henault worked at Cranston Print Works in Webster for many years, retiring in 1999. Previously, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was also a substitute teacher for Webster and Oxford Public Schools. Mr. Henault was a member of the V.F.W. Post 654 and the American Legion Post 184, both in Webster. He enjoyed gardening, the daily jumble and crossword puzzles, spending time outdoors in the sun, and was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants.
Memorial calling hours are Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home immediately following the calling hours. Burial with military honors will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Webster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tri-Valley Inc., 10 Mill St., Dudley, MA 01571.
