OXFORD – Joseph P. Riordan, 69, of Liberty Lane, died Monday, September 14, 2026, as a result of a tragic incident in Oxford.
He is survived by two children, Joseph C. O’Riordan and his wife Danielle, and Amanda L. Alexander and her husband Nicholas; his former wife, Helen Pereira; three siblings, James Riordan, Judith Howes, and John Riordan; his best friend, Rob Elliott; nine grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews.
He was born in Medford, son of the late James Joseph and Dolores Marie Anne (Scolles) Riordan, and lived most of his life between Oxford and Webster.
Mr. Riordan worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker throughout his life, most recently working for Elliott Construction in Douglas. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hiking, and loved spending time in the mountains, especially the White Mountains. He was well known in the Oxford community and will be remembered as someone who loved to talk with anyone.
Memorial calling hours are Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
