WORCESTER/ASHLAND – Julie A. Demeritt, 47, died Thursday, March 25, 2021. She is survived by her son, Daniel J. Demeritt of Tampa, FL; her mother, Lana J. Demeritt of North Oxford; her sister, Jeanne E. Wilbur and her husband Brian of Charlton; two brothers, James V. Demeritt and his wife Nancy Fitch of Acton, and Charles R. Demeritt of North Oxford; four nieces, Kelsey Wilbur and her husband Sam Warner, Erin Wilbur, Isabelle Demeritt, and Sophie Demeritt; a nephew, Patrick Wilbur; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was born in Framingham, daughter of the late Raymond D. Demeritt, and lived in many years in Ashland and 4 years in Worcester, before recently moving to Oxford. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1991, and attended UMass – Lowell.
Miss Demeritt was the manager of the Living House in Worcester, where she worked until retirement due to her illness. Previously, she worked at McDonald’s Restaurant and Burlington Coat Factory in Worcester, as well as at T.J. Maxx and Adesa Corporation in Framingham. She played softball for many years and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She worked hard throughout her life, and was proud of her work at the Living House in Worcester.
Calling hours are Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 3-5 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford. A prayer service will be held on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, or to a charity of one’s choice.
