OXFORD – Karen A. Moore, 74, of Huguenot Road, died peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2023, surrounded by her family at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She is survived by three children, Tammie L. Masiello and her husband Paul, Jeffrey A. Moore, and Tracie A. Ethier and her husband Thomas, all of Oxford; her sister, Denise J. O’Malley of Oxford; four grandchildren, Tori A. Masiello, Payton K. Masiello, Nathan P. Moore, and Tara A. Ethier; her niece, Brenda M. Schettino of Colorado Springs, CO; and her dog, Pixie. She was predeceased by her former husband, Charles H. Moore who died in 2014; and three brothers, Dennis O’Malley, John O’Malley, and Kevin O’Malley. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Andrew R. and Margaret T. (Connor) O’Malley, was raised in Sutton and lived in Oxford for the last five years. She graduated from Sutton Memorial High School in Sutton in 1967.
Ms. Moore was a certified nursing assistant for many years, working at the Masonic Home in Charlton, Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, and the Meadows in Leicester. She was also a bartender at The Cardinal in Worcester. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved pigs and a cup of coffee, and loved to play Solitaire every day. Most important in her life was caring for and spending time with her grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116, or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington, DC 20090-1891. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
