Kevin T. Costello

December 14, 1969 — October 24, 2023

Worcester

WORCESTER – Kevin T. Costello, 53, of Worcester, died suddenly due to complications resulting from a long illness.  He was born on December 14, 1969, to the late James and Monica Costello and grew up in Oxford, Massachusetts.  Kevin graduated from Oxford High School, attended Worcester State University, graduated from ITT Technical Institute, and held a Commscope Fiber Optic certification.

Kevin leaves his brother, James Costello and wife Christine of Webster, and sister, Heather Pelletier and husband Larry of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He also leaves nephews Jonathan Costello and wife Caitlyn of Rochdale, and Bryan DerKosrofian of Webster.

Kevin was active in sports from a young age.  First, with Oxford Little League and Youth Hockey, in high school as a member of the baseball and football teams, and later at Worcester State University as a hockey goalie. He loved following New England Sports, especially the Patriots and the Bruins, and later in life he became a passionate golfer.  He enjoyed boating and beaches, often taking day trips to Newport, RI, Portsmouth, NH, and the Harbor walk in Boston.  Favorite memories included vacationing at Race Point Light Station, a light house on the outer Cape, enjoying the Island of St. John for his nephew Jon’s wedding nuptials, and spending this past Labor Day weekend on board the Sea Pearl in Boston with his family.

Mr. Costello made his career in the Tech industry, first at Spencer Technologies and most recently as a Senior Project Estimator at Telaid Industries in Niantic, Connecticut.  He loved working from home and did so even before COVID made it a popular trend.  When the workday ended, Kev would be out and about in Worcester, meeting up with friends at Nancy Chang’s, Pho Dakao, and Scruffy Murphys among others.  He was strong in his political views, a loyal and trusted friend to those fortunate enough to share his life, and a loving brother and uncle who will be missed dearly and live in our hearts forever.

Memorial calling hours are Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 3-5 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours.
