MILLBURY – Kimberly J. (Reckner) Zimmerman, 38, of Jessica J Drive, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in her home. She is survived by her husband of 6 years, Scott A. Zimmerman of Millbury; her parents, John D. and Helga (Koch) Reckner of Oxford; her step-daughter, Jolie Zimmerman of Marlborough; her brother, Travis K. Reckner and his wife Leigh of Louisville, KY; her nephews and niece who she was so proud of, Wolfgang, Fiona, Ziggy, and Otto; her grandmother, Alma Reckner of Cincinnati, OH; her father- and mother-in-law, Albert E. and Claire M. Zimmerman of Haverhill; three sisters-in-law, Kristen A. Zimmerman of Haverhill, Heidi M. Bielecki and her husband Bryan of Fremont, NH, and Heather A. Zimmerman of Haverhill; uncles and aunts, Peter and Marion Koch of Berlin, Germany, Charles and Gayle Howard of Cincinnati, OH, and Tom and Elena Reckner of Pensacola, FL; and her dear friends, Mary-Anne Purcell, Naomi Christenson, Amy Steiger, Mike Dagnese, Erin Lilley, Dave Gabriella, and Courtney Tritta. She was born in Worcester, raised in Oxford, and lived in Millbury since 2017. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1999 and attended Central Massachusetts School of Art.

Kim’s passions were her family, friends, and providing massage therapy at locations in Hawaii, Cape Cod, and Worcester County. For nearly 30 years of her life from the age of eight, she became a significant part of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, where she managed the art production and performed her art at the “Pumpkin House” studio in Oxford. Kim loved animals, especially her dogs Hank and Gilda.

Kim will be remembered as a humble, kind, caring, and loving person. She was blessed with many friends who could count on her anytime they needed anything. She was a friend to all and would help anyone in need. She was a spiritual person who found comfort in the balance of everything around her. Kimberly’s energy and creativity, warmth, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at North Cemetery, Main St. (Route 12), Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA 23453. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
