AUBURN – Laurie Ann (Reynolds) Ward, 52, of Auburn, Massachusetts passed away on September 3rd, 2022. She is survived by her children, Makenzie and Samuel Ward, her husband Thomas Ward, her father, George Reynolds, sister, Melinda Beaudette, grandson, Grayson Ward, grandmother, Phyllis Chase, and a large extended family. She also leaves behind a lifelong group of friends, many of whom she met as early as Kindergarten. She is predeceased by her beloved mother, Marilyn Reynolds in 2021.
Laurie was born to George and Marilyn Reynolds on March 27th, 1970, in Worcester, Massachusetts. She attended Auburn Schools, graduating from Auburn High with the Class of 1988 and began a lifelong career in banking. She loved meeting people from all walks of life and helping them whenever they needed it.
Laurie was a force of love - she was fiercely devoted to her friends and family. Anyone who knew her saw how endlessly proud she was of Makenzie, and there is no denying that Laurie was her daughter’s biggest fan. She cherished time spent with her grandson, Grayson, marking every special moment together #GraysonLove. Despite all of the challenges she faced, she exuded endless positivity and light and always had a smile on her face.
Laurie was a peace-loving wildchild with a passion for sunflowers, crystals, Bruce Springsteen and trips to the beach. She had a heart of gold and the ease with which she made friends is a testament to that. Laurie taught us to walk through life free of judgment, take every opportunity to jump in the ocean and never hesitate to share “I love yous”. She will be “epic”-ly missed by many.
An intimate graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 23rd followed by a Celebration of Life open to all at the Auburn Elks at 12 noon. We request that you please wear bright colors to honor Laurie’s colorful spirit.
