OXFORD – Leon Moscoffian, 82, of Fort Hill Road, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Webster Manor Healthcare Center in Webster, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith B. (Lyman) Moscoffian of Oxford; two children, Michael R. Moscoffian and Gina M. Blake and her husband Sean, all of Oxford; three sisters, Ann Richard of North Dakota, Martha Rheault of Oxford, and Joanne Gallus of Cotuit; his grandson, Cameron Blake; his step-grandson, Sean Blake Jr.; his grand puppy, Pixie; and many beloved nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by four brothers, Serop Moscoffian, John Moscoffian, William Moscoffian and Edward Moscoffian; and a sister, Elsie Uselton. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Archak and Elsie (Butsch) Moscoffian, and lived most of his life in Oxford.
Mr. Moscoffian was a machine operator at Smith Valve in Westboro for 4 years, retiring in 1978. Previously, he worked at Granite Research in Worcester, Ethan Allen Furniture in Dudley, and was a dispatcher for the Oxford Police Department for many years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, building and refinishing furniture.
The family would like to thank the V.N.A. of Southern Worcester County, Tri-Valley Elder Services, Webster Manor, Hospice of Western and Central Massachusetts, and St. Vincent Hospital, for the exceptional care given to Leon.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 11, 2018, at St. Roch’s Cemetery, Federal Hill Road, Oxford. There are no calling hours. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
