DUDLEY – Lilian J. (Morrow) Milner, 91, of Dudley-Southbridge Road, died Sunday, November 4, 2018, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Clyde E. Milner of Oxford who died in 1978. She is survived by six children, Clyde T. Milner and his wife Christine of Southbridge, Stuart E. Milner and his wife Sandra of Spencer, Hope E. Zielinski and her husband Henry of Dudley, Heather I. Lever and her husband Gene of Oxford, Scott A. Milner and his wife Pam of Webster, and Jay F. Milner and his wife Kim of Dudley; two brothers, Richard Morrow and Donald Morrow, both of Spencer; her sister, Emily Martin of Lexington; 22 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sheila R. Adams who died in 2000; and a brother Stuart Morrow. She was born in Westborough, daughter of the late William and Sarah (Priest) Morrow, and lived in West Boylston before moving to Oxford in 1954 and Dudley in 1994. She graduated from Major Edwards High School in West Boylston in 1944.
Mrs. Milner worked at General Automotive in Worcester for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member, lector, and Sunday school teacher at Grace Episcopal Church in Oxford. She was a member of the Civil War Round Table, the Seven Hills Wheelmen, and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, bird watching, gardening, and grew beautiful African violets. Most of all, she loved being a mom, grandmother, and spending time with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Indian Children’s Fund, P.O. Box 906, Broken Arrow, OK 74013-9938, or Central Mass Hospice, 191 Pakachoag St., Auburn, MA 01501.
