Linda Cahill

WEBSTER – Linda M. (Prefontaine) Cahill, 68, of Prospect Street, died peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2018, in her home after a battle with cancer. She is survived by three children, Michelle A. Gonzalez and her husband Richard of Whitinsville, Melissa A. Blackmore of Florida, and John T. Cahill and his wife Jane of Putnam, CT; her mother, Yvonne D. Prefontaine of Rockledge, FL, two sisters, Emma McKinstry and her husband Kenneth of Charlton, and Cheryl Armstrong and her husband Peter of Rockledge, FL; eight grandchildren, Michael, Skye, Baelyn, Billy, Tyler, Hannah, Tori, and Trinity; six great-grandchildren, Jameson, Ryder, Ryan, Amelia, Noah, and Cadence; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Cahill who died in 1982; her son, Michael Duefield; her sister, Diane Briggs who died in 2009; and two brothers, Robert E. Prefontaine who died in 2015, and Kenneth J. Prefontaine Jr. who died in 2002. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Kenneth J. Prefontaine, Sr. and lived in Oxford and Dudley before moving to Webster 17 years ago. She graduated from Oxford High School.

Mrs. Cahill worked at Gentex in Dudley for many years. She will be remembered as a wonderful person who loved spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Jess for the help and care she gave during Linda’s illness.

Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the V.N.A. of Southern Worcester County, P.O. Box 368, Webster, MA 01570. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
