NORTH OXFORD – Linda K. (Hopkins) White, 65, of Patricia Drive, died peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Stewart A. White of North Oxford, who died in 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Linda K. Fahey and her husband Terrance of Rochdale; and two beloved grandsons, Aidan and Liam. She was born in Saginaw, MI, daughter of the late Valentine Slazinski and Margaret (Hopkins) Slazinski, and lived in North Oxford for the past 19 years. Prior to North Oxford, she lived in St. Louis, MO, for 13 years and lived throughout the world with her husband as he served in the military. She graduated from Handy High School in Bay City, MI.
Mrs. White was a travel agent throughout her life, most recently working as a corporate travel agent at Atlas Travel in Milford before retiring in 2015. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Stella Chapter Number 3 in Auburn, Ma. She loved to travel and was an avid baseball and football fan, where she loved the Red Sox and Patriots. She could often be found at her grandson’s baseball games. She also enjoyed her beloved dog, Yazmin.
Private burial will be alongside her husband at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations may be made to the Isadore Forbes Foundation: Grand Chapter of Massachusetts OES, PO Box 600583, Newtonville, MA 02460-0006 C/O Isadore Forbes Benevolent Fund, Attn: Grand Secretary Mrs. Karen Grabeau. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
