Louis Perrin, Sr.

December 12, 1947 — February 27, 2016

NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT – Louis J. Perrin, Sr., 68, of Rich Road, died Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the V.A. Medical Center in West Roxbury, as a result of a service-connected illness. He is survived by his wife, Donna E. Rawson of North Grosvenordale; two sons, Louis J. Perrin Jr. and his wife Maria of Dudley, and Robert L. Perrin of Alabama; two brothers, Reggie Perrin of New York and Varrell Perrin of Southbridge; two sisters, Carol Trinque of Dudley and Patricia Lamica of Alabama; and many grandchildren. He was born in Malone, NY, son of the late Robert Perrin and Nina (Hammond) Tucker, and lived in North Grosvenordale for the past 17 years.

Mr. Perrin proudly served in the U.S. Army for over 15 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster. He was 100% disabled due to his military service. He loved collecting and maintaining his antique cars.

Calling hours are Friday, March 4, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the conclusion of the calling hours. Burial will be at a later date in New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veteran’s Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
