OXFORD – Lucille A. (Brooks) Pollett, 95, of Old Webster Road, died Saturday, May 2, 2026, in her home surrounded by the love of her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Robert J. Pollett Sr., who died in 2005. She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Giroux of Oxford, and Phyllis King of Dudley; four children, Mary Lu Garrow of Oxford, Ruth J. Gagne of Oxford, Karen A. Keeler and her husband Billy of Texas, and Robert J. Pollett Jr. of Indiana; five grandchildren, Theodore Garrow, Kristel Garrow, Beau Archambault and his wife Hannah, Amanda Bazinet and her husband Martin, and Michael Gagne and his wife Adriana; four great-grandchildren, Evelyn Bazinet, Paul Bazinet, Gavin Gagne, and Quinn Archambault; and extended family members.
She was born in Oxford, daughter of the late Chandler C. and Ethel V. (Ellis) Brooks, and lived most of her life in Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1948, and received her diploma in nursing from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing in 1951.
Lucille was a registered nurse for most of her life, retiring from Fairlawn Hospital in Worcester many years ago. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, and spending time with family.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf, 4 Maple Rd., Oxford, MA 01540.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
