OXFORD - Heaven gained another beautiful angel on August 9th, 2018 when Maddilyn Rose Burgess passed into the loving arms of our Lord. Maddilyn, ‘Maddy’ was born on June 15th, 1990 to her loving parents, Cindi Ciani and William Burgess. Maddilyn loved spending time with her sister McKenzie whom she adored, her ‘big brother’ Greston, and her ‘boys’ Nolan, or ‘Noli-cannoli,’ and Caiden whom she so proudly called her ‘little man.’ She will be greatly missed by her ‘Grammy’ Dorothy Walker, her grandfather Richard Graves, her ‘Nana’ Rose Burgess, her Auntie Lori and Uncle Kenny, Uncle Mike and Aunt Terry, Uncle Wayne and Auntie Kris, numerous cousins and a very large extended family. Maddilyn grew up in Oxford and cherished the many memories she made with her childhood friends. She graduated from Medfield High School in 2008 and later received an associate degree in medical assisting from Salter College.
Maddilyn loved taking long walks and appreciated the beauty of nature, the rain, the stars, and especially the ocean. She loved to read, found deep meaning in the lyrics of her favorite songs, and enjoyed keeping a journal of quotes and mantras that inspired her. Her silly dance moves brought joy to many and she was often a source of encouragement to others with her sweet, genuine soul and infectious smile that lit up an entire room. Although her spirit rests peacefully with the Father above, Maddilyn will always remain our precious daughter, devoted sister, loving granddaughter, cherished niece and forever friend.
Maddilyn is rockin’ the heavens above, free from all earthly pain and sorrow. She would want to be remembered for the beautiful person that she was, and have her life celebrated without guilt, remorse or anger. Please join us to commemorate Maddilyn’s precious life with those she held so dear.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 1-4 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Maddilyn Rose Memorial Fund for Battered Women at Daybreak -YWCA Central Massachusetts in care of Hometown Bank, 31 Sutton Avenue, Oxford, Ma. 01540.
