CHARLTON – Mark F. Belsito, 65, of Charlton, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester, after a brief illness. His wife was by his side.
Mark is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 23 years, Charlene Emco-Belsito of Charlton; his sister, Darlene McKay and her husband Kenneth of Valrico, FL; his mother-in-law, Charlotte Emco of Charlton; his sister-in-law, Terri Emco-Smith and her husband Peter Smith of Eastford, CT; a special niece who was dear to his heart, Heather Sinclair of Charlton, as well as two nieces, one nephew, a great-nephew, a great-niece, and many cousins.
Mark loved his animals and will also be greatly missed by his Samoyeds Lexi and Mishka.
Mark was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, son of the late Peter J. and Ruth C. (Welch) Belsito, and has lived in Charlton for the past 23 plus years. He was a 1978 graduate of Burncoat Senior High School.
Mr. Belsito was a senior telecom engineer for Rockport Technologies Group in Salem, NH, for the past 20 plus years. Previously, he worked for Black Box Telecommunications, Nortel Telecommunications, Williams Telecommunications, and Comlink which started his career off in telecommunications. He loved his job.
Mark was an avid fan of the New England and Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots and the Red Sox.
Mark and his wife Charlene weren’t only husband and wife, but best friends. They enjoyed traveling and road trips, especially to warmer destinations. They enjoyed the mountains of New York State, the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, the Rhode Island coastline and the rocky coastline of Maine. They loved traveling to the beautiful beaches of the Gulf coast of Florida. They visited and enjoyed many wineries and breweries throughout the area and along their travels. Every weekend they had a fun date planned and often times were joined by good friends. Most importantly it was time spent together.
Mark had a very warm and welcoming personality and made many lifelong friends, always a smile and a kind word. Always willing to lend a helping hand. Mark was special and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial will follow at West Ridge Cemetery in Charlton. Calling hours are Monday, February 9, 2026, from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
