POMFRET CENTER, CT – Mark D. Graham, 59, was born September 13, 1963, in Worcester. He was raised in Oxford, married and started a family before moving to Pomfret Center, CT, where he lived out his days in the family home he built with his wife.

He was predeceased by his father, Francis C Graham who died in 2007; his mother, Mary A (Caisse) Graham who died in 2014; and his sister, Elizabeth M Graham who died in 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Theresa M. (Ritacco) Graham of Pomfret Center, CT, his sister, Ellen F. Graham of Oxford; six children, Kevin Coomey and his wife Tania of Scotland, CT, Jennifer Coomey of Putnam, CT, Erin Gasiorek and her husband Brandon of Pomfret Center, CT, Ryan Graham and his wife Patty of Plainfield, CT, Patrick Graham of Scotland, CT, and Shawn Graham of Scotland, CT; his nine grandchildren,  A.J., Ava, Jasper, Dahlia, Gavin, Theresa, Travis, Jazzy, and John; nieces, nephews, and his beloved fur grandkids.

Mark graduated from Oxford High School in 1982 and attended Cape Cod Community College. He worked for over 25 years at Mohegan Sun Casino prior to retirement.

In 2002, Mark survived a stroke and brain aneurysm. After months in ICU, he beat all odds and stayed with his family for another 21 years. He was limited but was a constant source of love, advice and humor to his children and grandchildren. He was able to comfort his family in times of loss, witness his children's life accomplishments as well as marriages, births and adoptions of all of his grandchildren. His wife and children were the reason he fought to survive every day.

Mark loved the ocean, a good joke, the patriots, fishing, iced coffee and family time. He loved to sit and talk with his kids and grandkids. He had a great sense of humor and a good moral compass. His legacy is the family that comes after him. He was so proud of his children. The lessons, values and morals instilled in his children will last for generations to come.
