CHARLTON – Mary K. (Kent) Cierpich, 58, of Charlton, MA passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, with her loving husband and most cherished children at her side.

Mary is survived by her husband of 31 years, Mark J. Cierpich, and their two children, Tyler J. Cierpich and Julia N. Cierpich, of Charlton; her father, Donald L. Kent; four siblings, John M. Kent and his wife Louise, Donna K. Twombly and her husband Bret, David S. Kent and his wife Marie, all of Rowley, Sharon A. Cone and her husband Dale of Midlothian, VA; her sister-in-law, Beth J. Aulenback and her husband James of Shrewsbury; nine nieces and nephews, and a great nephew, all whom she adored.

Mary was born in Ipswich, MA, the youngest daughter of five children, to the late Virginia Ann (Iglehart) Kent. She graduated from Triton Regional High School in Byfield in 1984 and received her Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England in 1988. She lived in Rowley, Quincy, and Oxford, MA before moving to Charlton in 1995.

Mary worked as an Occupational Therapist throughout her life, most recently at Summit ElderCare in Webster. With a career dedicated to helping others maintain independence and dignity, Mary had a special place in her heart for the elderly in her family and the community. She had a rare gift: the ability to lift not just bodies, but spirits. Known for her tireless commitment to the well-being of others, Mary was selfless.

Family was the most important part of her life, and Mary considered her children to be her greatest accomplishment. She was devoted to fostering her children's growth and education, nurturing not only their talents but their character. She attended a wide variety of activities and was committed to ensuring her children found joy and felt supported in every avenue they pursued.

A loving partner and enthusiast, Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband to car shows, where they spent many happy weekends together. She reveled in drives along back country roads, top down, listening to her favorite band Old Dominion. Mary loved spending time in nature, specifically by the ocean. She often reminisced about the days spent on her family houseboat moored off Sandy Point in Ipswich, MA. She loved celebrating others and was known for having everything ready to throw a beautiful party. Mary will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and compassion for others.
