OXFORD – Mary A. (LaRose) Kenney, 80, died Sunday, January 18, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – North Pavillion in Worcester.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Phillip B. Kenney who died in 2025. She is survived by four children, Phillip J. Kenney of Worcester, Dory A. St. Martin and her husband Scott of Sturbridge, Lee Anne Miller and her husband Scott of Charlton, and Carmen M. Staples and her husband Dennis of Surfside Beach, SC; a brother, Joseph P. Tonelli of Worcester, a sister, Nancy Gagne and her husband Earl of Worcester; five grandchildren, Sarah Miller, Kaitlyn O’Connor, Thomas Jones, Micaela, and Alisa Mey; six great-grandchildren, Scott Ouelette, Evangelina Ouelette, Enzo Jones, Luca Jones, Lily Jones, and Emmy Jones; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Garcia of Worcester; a sister, Evelyn LaRose; and a brother, Paul J. LaRose.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred Tonelli and Georgianna A. (Guyette) Tonelli, and lived in Worcester for several years before moving to Oxford for 22 years and finally to Webster in 2015.
Mrs. Kenney spent most of her life caring for the elderly as a home health aide, first in nursing homes and later as private duty. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and reading.
Services will be private. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
