NORTH OXFORD – Mary M. (Power) Walsh, 93, formerly of Chestnut Hill Road, died peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021, surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her husband of 70 years, John “Chuck” T. Walsh; five children, Susan Bell and her husband Chris of Southport, NC, John T. Walsh and his wife Shelley of Oxford, Ann Farrell and her husband David of Bolton, Thomas F. Walsh and his wife Jane of Dudley, and Patricia Murphy and her husband Jack of Charlton; 11 granddaughters, 23 great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by her beloved daughter-in-law Glenelle Walsh. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late James A. and Anna (O’Brien) Power, and lived most of her life in Oxford.  She graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1946.

Mrs. Walsh worked for Nynex Telephone Company for 35 years, retiring in 1991.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.  She was a longtime member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford and was a past member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Mary was married to her best friend for over seventy years. Mary and Chuck enjoyed getting together to celebrate all the special times with their family and their many trips. Her family was the light of her life. She especially enjoyed vacations in Maine with her 11 granddaughters. She left them a legacy of love.

A funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church and burial at St. Roch’s Cemetery will be private due to gathering restrictions.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Ann’s Church, P.O. Box 488, North Oxford, MA 01537.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
