NORTH BROOKFIELD – Maryalice (Northerner) “Dolly” Sisco, a resident of Quaboag Skilled Care Facility, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2019. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to loving her family very much, Dolly loved animals, especially dogs, collecting clowns, all things jungle and anything red!
She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, daughter of the late William Northerner and Alice (Bradford) Leonard, and lived the majority of her senior years in Brewster, MA. She loved spending time on the beach in Florida and Cape Cod. She had many jobs throughout her life, but talked mostly about her time spent as an operating room technician and bank manager.
Dolly is survived by her children Rafe Torres and his wife Kim of North Brookfield, and Raul Torres and his wife Diane of Arroyo Grande, CA; two brothers, William Northerner of Brick, NJ, and Robert and Carol Northerner of Mehoopany, PA; thirteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Nick Sisco; and step-sons Steven Sisco of Crestview, FL, and Nick Sisco Jr. of Clinton, IL.
She brought a lot of joy and fun to the people who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Please drink a glass of wine in her honor.
A private burial service will be held in Brewster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
