WEBSTER – Maureen A. (Fitton) Butler, 73, of Minebrook Road, died Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. She will be remembered as a remarkable woman whose compassion, humor, and generosity touched everyone she met.
She is survived by four children, Victoria A. Borowy and her husband Joseph Olson, Quinn R. Borowy, Kursten M. Butler, and Anthony F. Butler and his wife Doralis Perez-Soto; six grandchildren, Teegue Olson, Ty Berry, Blake Berry, Reese Berry, Oscar Butler-Perez, and Carmen Butler-Perez, each whom brought her immense joy and pride. She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth W. Fitton and Dennis R. Fitton.
She shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Tony Butler, who preceded her in death. Their bond remains an inseparable part of her story.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Leo J. and Mary L. (Halley) Fitton Jr., and lived most of her life in Oxford before moving to Webster in 2013.
Maureen was a devoted nurse who dedicated her life to helping others. A graduate of Oxford High School, she went on to build a career centered on service and care. Most recently, she worked as a nurse at AdCare Hospital and Life Care of Auburn, where her warmth, humor, and genuine concern for her patients made a lasting impact. Her patients were never just patients—they were people she truly loved and cared for, often brightening their hardest days with her quick wit and perfectly timed jokes.
Above all else, Maureen loved her family. She was a constant source of warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. She had a generous heart, always ready to give, and found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing board games, indulging in junk food, soaking up warm weather, relaxing at the beach, and traveling to new places.
Maureen’s legacy is one of compassion, laughter, and selflessness. She showed us how to care deeply, laugh often, and love fully. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
