Melora Dauksz

August 23, 1946 — November 10, 2017

WEBSTER – Melora M. (Butler) Dauksz, 71, of East Main Street, died Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton. She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, David J. Dauksz of Oxford, who died in 2003. She is survived by two children, Melora M. Dauksz of Webster, and James D. Dauksz and his wife Anne of Florida; two brothers, J. Brian Butler of Newburyport, and Michael Butler of Nashua, NH; two grandchildren, Savana and Nikolas, both of Florida; her sister-in-law, Sandra Elias of Mashpee; her close friend of many years, Carol Spooner of Oxford; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Edward Neil Butler who died in 2008. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Edward P. and Helen C. (Daley) Butler, and lived in most of her life in Oxford before moving to Webster several years ago. She graduated from Oxford High School.

Mrs. Dauksz was a receptionist at Dr. Busch Veterinary Clinic in Webster. Later, she worked at Commerce Insurance Company and Christopher Heights, both in Webster. She enjoyed basket-weaving, painting, chair caning, and her cats.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
