Nancy Goodwin

OXFORD – Nancy B. (LaPrade) Benoit Galasso Goodwin, 73, formerly of Chapel Street, Leicester, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Auburn Life Care Center, Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon M. Goodwin; her previous husband, William Galasso; and her former husband Alfred Benoit. She is survived by five children, Alfred F. Benoit and his wife Brenda of Cherry Valley, Craig P. Benoit and his wife Dianne of Auburn, David A. Benoit and his wife Rebecca of Suffolk, VA, William J. Galasso and his wife Michelle of Port Charlotte, FL, and Robert P. Galasso and his wife Rachel of Leicester; three step-children, Gordon Goodwin and his wife Jo-Ann, Gary B. Goodwin and his wife Theresa of Milford, and Joan Webber and her husband Joseph; a brother, Albert LaPrade of Worcester; four sisters, Shirley Quattrucci of Brookfield, Pauline Pinkham of Oxford, Jacqueline Fullen of Auburn, and Sandra Plante of Fall River; fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many step grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Mark Galasso of Webster, who died in 1979. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Lemoine) LaPrade, and lived in Oxford for many years and Florida for 20 years, before moving to Leicester in 2005. Mrs. Goodwin was a housekeeper in Florida for twenty years. She loved bowling and belonged to bowling leagues in Florida, and enjoyed camping in Charlton. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, May 19, 2008, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
