She graduated from Oxford High School in 1952 and attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.

Mrs. Dyson worked for many years at State Mutual as a claims examiner.  In addition, she held several positions in the town of Oxford including assisting the selectmen, accounting offices, and police department.  After moving to Hudson, she was employed for 23 years at Thomas Taylor & Sons, becoming the first female department manager as well as the assistant to the sales manager.  When she returned home to Oxford, she worked at ADP, retiring after 13 years.

Patricia very much enjoyed time with her family.  Her home was always open to friends and family, hosting “Monday Night Dinner” for many years which were open to all that were available.  She loved cooking and baking and was famous for her holiday cookies.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed music, sports, and jigsaw puzzles.  She was happiest spending time during the summer at the cottage on Prudence Island, RI, and spent as much time there as possible.
