Patricia Anne VanDyke

WALES – Patricia Anne VanDyke, also known as GG, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on October 4, 2023, in Wales, MA.  She was born on February 7, 1939, to George and Marion Krals.

Patti was special the day she was born.  She was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and wasn’t supposed to live past the age of 25, let alone have children.  Mother of three to Jill, James, and George.  Grandmother to Tiffany, Heidi, Devon, Nicholas, and Kayla.  Great-grandmother to Mckayleigh, Landyn, Teegan, Eli, Alaia, Demi, and Elliana.  She was a friend to many, including her best friend, Pat Marrier.  Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell VanDyke; and her second husband, John Marshall.

Patti loved camping and her chocolate labs, Trooper, Molly, and Coco.  She was a lifelong Girl Scout.  She had a passion for knitting and cherished the memories created during her camping adventures.  Ireland was her favorite place to be.   There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do with her disability.  She was the matriarch of her family and will be deeply missed.

Memorial calling hours are Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the conclusion of the calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O.
