Patrick Mastromatteo

CHERRY VALLEY – Patrick M. Mastromatteo, 58, of Cemetery Road, died Monday, June 4, 2018, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brenda L. (Riopel) Mastromatteo of Cherry Valley; two sons, Kristopher M. Mastromatteo and his wife Dawn of Worcester, and Ryan R. Mastromatteo of Oxford; a sister, Susan M. Mastromatteo of Worcester; his father- and mother-in-law; Robert and Brenda Riopel of Worcester; his brother-in-law, Sean Whittaker and his wife Heather of North Carolina; and his niece, Ashley Whittaker of Southbridge. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Michael J. and Maria K. (Leazes) Mastromatteo, and lived in Worcester before moving to Cherry Valley 32 years ago. He graduated from St. Peter Marian High School in Worcester in 1978.

Mr. Mastromatteo worked at FLEXcon in Spencer for 26 years. In addition, he worked at Walmart in North Oxford. He enjoyed building models, collecting matchbox cars, going to the Worcester flea market, cooking, and preparing holiday meals. He loved his animals – dogs Sisko, Pepita, Sawyer, and Zoe; and his parrot Rosa. Most of all, he was a family man whose strength was living for his boys.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are Friday, June 8, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
