Paul L. Miles

March 17, 1935 — August 13, 2023

OXFORD – Paul L. Miles, 88, of Foster Street, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 13, 2023.  He was predeceased by his wife Carole A. (Battye) Miles, who died in 2019; and his son, Christopher John Miles.  He is survived by a son, Daniel W. Miles and his wife Brandy of Brookfield; two granddaughters, Victoria A. Miles and Isabella C. Miles; a brother, Ray Miles of Shrewsbury; a sister, Frances Miles of Ayer; nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by four brothers, David Miles, Rodney Miles, Howard Miles, and Richard Miles; and two sisters, Kathleen Miles and Mary Ellen Miles.  He was born in Framingham, son of the late Leon A. and Kathleen (Sullivan) Miles, and lived in Oxford for many years.  He graduated from Framingham High School in Framingham.

Mr. Miles worked at Barry Communications in Worcester for many years prior to retirement.  Previously, he worked for New England Telephone where he began his career as a lineman.  He was a New York Giants fan and his son Dan will miss calling him after each game to talk about how they played.  His granddaughters, who affectionately called him “Pea,” were the light of his life and he was happiest when spending time with them.

A private graveside service was held at North Cemetery in Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
