OXFORD – Pauline (Capuano) Butler, 85, of Liberty Lane, died on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Southbridge. She is now at peace, in the loving arms of Jesus, her savior.

She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Donald F. Butler who died in 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene M. Chachi of Oxford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by two sisters, Janet P. Combs and Marie E. Perry.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Samuel and Marguerite (Blanchard) Capuano, was raised in Millbury and lived in Sutton, North Oxford, and Webster, before moving to Oxford. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1959.

Mrs. Butler was a nanny for many years, which brought her immense joy. She enjoyed camping with her family and friends for over twenty years. She was a devoted fan of the Hallmark Channel and never missed a new movie.

Mrs. Butler was an avid animal lover, supporting various charities for animals of every kind. Most importantly, she was a devoted mom to her daughter Darlene, always offering endless love and support.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Brigid’s Cemetery in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, P.O. Box 136, 111 Young Road, East Brookfield, MA 01515.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
