OXFORD – Pauline L. (LaPrade) Pinkham, 90, of Newton Avenue, died Saturday, May 13, 2023, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Pinkham Sr. who died in 1990. She is survived by three children, John F. Pinkham Jr. of Oxford, Debra A. Pinkham of Dudley, and Brian J. Pinkham and his wife Kerrie of Oxford; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gayle E. Pinkham; a brother, Albert LaPrade; and four sisters, Shirley Quattrucci, Nancy Goodwin, Jackie Fullen, and Sandra Plante. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Albert H. and Dorothy L. (Lemoine) LaPrade, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1955. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester.
Mrs. Pinkham was a bookkeeper for the S.H. Kunin Felt Company in Worcester for 10 years, retiring in 1999. Previously, she worked at National Standard, Catholic Charities, and was a secretary for Attorney Walter J. Moosa in Worcester. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford and taught CCD there for many years. She volunteered for a literacy program for several years and was an adopted grandmother at the Chaffee School in Oxford for 3 years. She enjoyed bowling in the Oxford Bowling League in the 1960’s, as well as reading and birdwatching.
A funeral will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Ann’s Church, P.O. Box 488, North Oxford, MA 01537, or to a charity of one’s choice.
