BARRE – Peter T. Albrecht, 62, of West Street, passed away after a short illness on November 2, 2025, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie A. (Howe) Albrecht, of Barre; a daughter, Susan Albrecht of Grand Gorge, New York; two stepsons, Brandon E. Howe and his wife Lynn of Hubbardston, and Gary T. Howe, Jr. and his wife Catherine of Apollo Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Donald Fahrenkopf, Damien Fahrenkopf, Timothy Boylhart, Jr., and Lacey Howe; and his best friend, Arthur W. Lafleche of Southbridge. He was predeceased by his brother James W. Albrecht, Jr., and his best friend Devin Dubois.

He was born in Bethpage, New York, son of the late James W. and Pauline (Pinchuk) Albrecht, Sr., and lived in Gardner before moving to Barre.

Peter was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at various logging companies for over forty years, including A1 Logging.

Mr. Albrecht was a member of the American Legion Post 2 in Barre, a member of the Distant Thunder Motorcycle Club, and a member of the Pale Riders Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, sitting by the fire with his family, spending time with his animals, Sadie and Elvira, and tinkering on numerous projects.

A celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion Post 2 in Barre, 450 S Barre Rd, Barre on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 2-4 p.m.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
