OXFORD - Phillip Bouthillette, 80, formerly of Oxford and Worcester, died peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice L. (Blair) Bouthillette; four children, M. Sharon Alden of Dudley, Philip Gary Bouthillette and his wife Donna of Windermere, FL, Robin A. Ratcliffe and her husband Kenneth Jr. of Windermere, FL, and Debra M. Krasowsky and her husband Peter of Auburn; two sisters, Rita Germain of Oxford and Theresa Guerin of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Julie and Jessica Alden, both of Worcester, Joseph and Nicholas Bouthillette, both of Windermere, FL, Kenneth Ratcliffe III and his wife Amanda of Shanghai, China, Amanda Krasowsky of Worcester, and Hillary and Emily Krasowsky, both of Auburn; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Arthur, and Louis Bouthillette; a sister, Maria Soucy; and his son-in-law, Richard Alden. He was born in Oxford, the son of the late Joseph and Cora (Robidoux) Bouthillette. Mr. Bouthillette received his associate's degree in criminal justice from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester in 1975, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Bouthillette was chief of the campus police at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Previously, he worked at Pratt Whitney in Hartford, CT, and was a part-time police officer with the Oxford Police Department. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 5663 in Oxford, the American Legion Post 58 in Oxford, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council 88 in Worcester. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton for the exceptional care they gave to him and Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge for the compassion and care in his final days. Calling hours are Monday, March 30, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at the Overlook Masonic Chapel, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel at the conclusion of calling hours. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
