Phyllis Anderson

OXFORD – Phyllis H. (Beane) Anderson, 92, of Pine Ridge Drive, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger M. Anderson Sr. who died in 1991. She is survived by two children, Scott S. Anderson Sr. and his wife Theresia of Oxford, and Carol L. Gordon and her husband Earl of Worcester; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Roger M. Anderson Jr.; and a brother, Richard Beane. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Leon J. and Katherine H. (Murray) Beane, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1952. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester.

Mrs. Anderson spent most of her life caring for her home and family. During World War II, she issued gasoline rations for the U.S. government. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidery. She will be remembered for the wonderful quilts and clothing she made.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, June 18, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
