Raymond Freniere, Sr.

OXFORD – Raymond E. Freniere, Sr., 93, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ida F. (Davis) Freniere; three children, Cheryl A. Dagnese and her husband Richard of Worcester, William M. Freniere of Webster, and Raymond J. Freniere of Dudley; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Norman Freniere; and a sister, Rita Senecal. He was born in Spencer, son of the late Ellsworth and Marie Rose (Racine) Freniere, and lived in Auburn before moving to Oxford in 1965.

Mr. Freniere was a roofer at B.H. cutler Roofing Company in Worcester for 45 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Singletary Rod and Gun Club in Oxford and the Amateur Trap Shooting Association. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.

A private graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
