CHARLTON – Raymond J. Jeznach, 94, of Robert Boulevard, died peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2024, with his family by his side.  

He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary T. (Podbielski) Jeznach who died in 1994; and his second wife, Janet (Alarie) Jeznach who died in 2022.  He is survived by a son, Lawrence R. Jeznach and his wife Leslie of Douglas; two grandchildren, Ashley N. Jeznach and David S. Jeznach, both of San Diego, CA; his sister, Teresa Ryder of West Boylston; Janet’s four cherished sons and their families, Robert Alarie and his wife Mary of Becket, MA and their children, Kristin  Pedrotti and her husband John, Matthew Alarie and his wife Lauren, Monique Vosburgh and her husband Brian, Richard Alarie of Brooklyn CT, and his daughters Amanda Alarie and her partner Matt, Amy Alarie and her partner Rick, Raymond  Alarie and his wife Donna of Bellingham, and their daughters Nichole  and Danielle, Ronald P. Alarie, and his wife Lisa of Charlton, and their children Meghan Telemaque, her husband Jean-Pierre, and Brian Alarie; and beloved great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Chester Jeznach and Edward Jeznach; and three sisters, Stasia Midura, Irene Mrugala, and Jane Richnick.  

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Staneslaw and Franciszka (Matejkowska) Jeznach, and lived in Millbury for 25 years before moving to Charlton 20 years ago.  He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Worcester in 1946, and received his bachelor’s degree from Holy Cross College in Worcester in 1952, where he majored in history.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Jeznach was a regional manager at CIT Financial Services, senior vice president at Columbus Associates, and assistant vice president of Bank of New England, where he retired in 1994.  He was a member of the Polish American Veterans and the Holy Cross Club of Worcester.

Mr. Jeznach was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Charlton.  He loved sports throughout his life, from playing basketball in high school to being a fan of the Boston sport teams as well as Holy Cross.  He enjoyed traveling throughout the country and internationally with Mary and Janet, and he especially loved living on the lake in Charlton.  He will be remembered as a great father and role model for his family.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton.  Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.  Calling hours are Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
