Richard Dube

DUDLEY – Richard P. Dube, 61, of Juniper Lane, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Harrington-Hubbard Hospital in Webster.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jonna D. (Hamilton) Dube of Dudley; five children, Jamie A. Dube and his wife Megan, Shelby L. Reynolds and her husband Bobby Cook, Alexandra H. Dube, Jack R. Dube and his fiancée Devon Peluso, and Nicole P. Dube; his sister, Linda M. Dube; three granddaughters, Scarlett Rae Dube, Lydia, and Eloise; his brother- and sister-in-law and their daughter, Dale, Penny, and Madison; and many loving family members.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Clement R. and Irene R. (Pichette) Dube, was raised in Leicester and lived in Dudley for 15 years.  He graduated from Boys Trade in Worcester in 1978 and later received his teaching certificate.

Rich was a carpentry teacher at Dighton-Rehoboth High School.  Previously he was a teacher for Project Coffee in Oxford for 13 years until the program closed.  He worked for many years with his close friend OB. He also owned his own construction business many years ago.   He worked for many years at St. Peter’s Central Catholic and Holy Name High School when his children attended.

Rich enjoyed playing softball, and played volleyball at the Quarter Keg Pub.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and helped build the Treasure Land playground in Oxford.  He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Dudley.  He could fix and build anything, and he would do anything for anyone. His greatest joy in life was being a dad and pepe and spending time with his kids. His heart was full of love for his children and family.

A funeral will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley.  Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford.  Calling hours are Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Central Catholic School, 865 Main St., Worcester, MA 01610.
