Rita Wall

LEXINGTON - Rita E. Wall, 95, formerly of Lexington and Medford, MA, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Christopher House in Worcester.

After graduating from Salem State College, she began in 1948 what can only be described as her vocation as an elementary school teacher for the Lexington Public School System, retiring in 1988. Her love for her students was only surpassed by her love for her family and her Catholic faith. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Catherine (Carew) and Thomas Wall of Witless Bay, NF, Canada and Medford, MA, brothers Thomas and Francis, sister Lauretta (Wall) Grant and nephew Francis, Jr.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 1981 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, MA.  Burial will follow at 12 noon at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Jimmy Fund or the Salvation Army.
