Robert Anderson

OCALA, FL / DUDLEY, MA – Robert C. Anderson, 80, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, in Ocala, FL. He is survived by his wife, Carole T. (McCune) Anderson of Ocala, FL; two children, Donald P. Anderson of Webster and Debra J. Anderson of Oxford; six stepchildren, Jenney Gallerane and her husband Robert of Milford, Stephen PeKala and his wife Cheryl of Oxford, James PeKala and his wife Deborah of DeLand, FL, Cynthia Trocki and her husband Robert of Shrewsbury, Paula Ridley and her husband Keith of Edgewater, FL, and Karen Warren and her husband Carry of Maryville, TN; a sister, Gloria Poplawski and her husband Joseph of Orlando, FL; many grandchildren, a few great grandchildren; three nephews, Keith, David, and Kenny Poplawski; and a special aunt, Timmy Cazeault. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor L. (Beauregard) Anderson of Dudley who died in 2001; and a son, Robert C. Anderson Jr. of Dudley who died in 2004. He was born in Oxford, son of the late Clement R. and Irene E. (Cazeault) Anderson, and lived most of his life in Dudley before moving to Ocala, FL, in 2006. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1956.

Mr. Anderson was a tractor trailer truck driver for Sakrete in Oxford for many years. In the winter, he plowed snow for Helgerson Excavating in Charlton. His nickname was Snowman. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Auburn Elks in Auburn for 10 years. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed farming in Dudley and rebuilt John Deere tractors. He enjoyed participating in tractor pulls.

Calling hours are Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 9-11 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Immediately following the calling hours, a procession will commence from the funeral home to North Cemetery for a committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts Street, Suite 450, Newton, MA 02458-1287, or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
